Bio:
I began my professional career as a trainee biomedical scientist in cellular pathology at St George’s Hospital in London. After completing my training, I subsequently moved to Liverpool and a place in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital’s immunocytochemistry laboratory, where I stayed for the majority of my NHS career at the time when I left the Royal, I was running the diagnostic advanced testing laboratories. I returned to London in 2014 to take up a clinical scientist role in the Royal Marsden Hospital’s breast research and clinical trials unit. I became Scheme Director of UK NEQAS for Immunocytochemistry and In-Situ Hybridisation in 2019, having started as an assessor with the scheme in 1996.
