Bio:
Dr. Eric Burks is clinical associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Boston University SOM. He attended medical school at University of New Mexico SOM where he completed a post-sophomore pathology fellowship. He did his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Penn. State University, surgical pathology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and hematopathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University SOM. He was a staff pathologist at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center between 2007-2017 where he was section head of immunohistochemistry. He is currently the director of immunohistochemistry, hematopathology/hematology and the amyloid center laboratory for Boston University SOM.
Dr. Burks research interests includes classification of screen detected lung adenocarcinomas, genitourinary malignancies, and hematopathology.
