Bio:
Mogens Vyberg has graduated with an MD degree in Medicine in 1973 and become board-certified as specialist in Pathology in 1984. Since 1988 he has been a Senior Consultant at the Institute of Pathology, Aalborg Hospital. In addition, he was appointed as a Professor of Clinical Pathology at Aalborg University Hospital (AAUH) in 2012. His main clinical expertise and research fields are gastrointestinal, liver and brain pathology, immuno­histochemistry and image analysis. He is author and co-author of more than 80 scientific papers and several book chapters in these fields. He is the Head of the Laboratory for Immunohistochemistry-Research and Development at Aalborg University Hospital (AAUH), which performs quality control analysis and protocol optimization for the world’s leading diagnostic companies. He is also the co-founder and director of the international organization Nordic Immunohistochemical Quality Control (NordiQC, www.nordiqc.org), which was established in 2003 at the Institute of Pathology, AAUH, and currently serves more than 700 pathology laboratories from 85 countries. For 40 years he has been teaching pathology and for more than 25 years he has taught Immunohistochemistry for biomedical scientists, medical students and pathology trainees. In addition, for 15 years he has been organizing teaching workshops at national and international level on immunohistochemistry.
